Well friends, hope everyone had a great holiday Christmas. I know I was just happy to get the family all together and hang out..watch a little football. Somethings utterly american about watching football around the holidays, and i like it. I'm ready to try out my new rod and reel. If you know me at all..i mean, AT ALL, then you know i'm an avid fisherman. I think I get it from my pops. He takes that stuff SO serious and its, well, rubbed off on me. Nowadays im just happy to get out on the water, especially in the evenings. Whether im catching fish or not, something special about being alone on the water with the sunset in your face. Places and times like that where i feel closest to God. Maybe even have a little conversation or two with him. Needless to say, I'm ready for spring fishing. I'm especially excited about tonight. All my friends i graduated with are gettin' together to have a good time. I better start hydrating now!!! Where's my gatorade?? It's funny to see everyone now and see how much they've changed in these few yrs. It's always like "wait..wtf? He's with her now? and they're 'together'..never woulda called that"...happens every year hahah. Funny how people change. Sometimes when I'm out doing whatever, i think to myself.."if i flashed into this moment three years ago for 2 minutes, i would be sooo confused. Who are these people? and more importantly, who's this on top of me!?!?"hahaha j/k but it does make me wonder about those moments in the future. Never think you've got it figured out...hell, when i graduated high school, i was PLAN: going to SFA to play football and i was gonna be a physical therapist. Boy, did i stray from that. And i wouldnt have it any other way..I think i've recently decided to really do what i wanna do and be a PA (physicians assistant) or an NP (nurse practitioner). My ultimate goal is to be a physician. But, i dont think i could go to school for that long. I really do HATE school. The thought of being in school for 8 more years makes me want to vomit. But i think i'm on the right track right now. I really like where I'm at and the people i hang around with..I'm blessed with great friends and a great job, even if it does wear me down at times. I guess todays post wasn't about anything in particular, just putting down whats in my brain at this very second. And thats gotta count for something. Hope everyone had a great Christmas, and maybe you'll be at our party for New Years!!!

That's you, drops of water and you're on top of the mountain of success. But one day you start sliding down the mountain and you think wait a minute; I'm a mountain top water drop. I don't belong in this valley, this river, this low dark ocean with all these drops of water. Then one day it gets hot and you slowly evaporate into air, way up, higher than any mountain top, all the way to the heavens. Then you understand that it was at your lowest that you were closest to God. Life's a journey that goes round and round and the end is closest to the beginning. So if it's change you need, relish the journey. - From the documentary "I'm Still Here"

A little humor, heart and truth.

Hello all,

Wow..so forgive me on my recent absence for a week! If you know me (at all) you know I've always got a lot of stuff going on..Nursing school, working at the hospital, raising 9 children, traveling back and forth from Arkansas to chat with Cliff Lee about coming back to the Rangers..It's been very hectic. Speaking of my close friend and buddy/pal Cliff Lee, I wish that dude would make up his mind. I mean COME ON...seriously, how hard is it to be like "mmmm...where should i make 135 million dollars at???" I can just see him throwing a pouting fit "This is so hard!!!"...geez, give me a freakin break. But on a serious note, i would like LOVE Cliff to be with us in Arlington come next season but the guy wants a 7 year contract? Get real. Even with a 6 yr contract the dudes what, 38 when his deal will be up? AND thats if he stays healthy. And when it comes to the Rangers in general, I've got some mixed emotions about alot. They resigned Matt Treanor to a one-year deal for $850,00. Great move in my opinion. The guy is clutch mode all the time. I mean, just look at his wife (click the red link)...wait thats not right, i think that was a cocker spaniel. Maybe it was Meg Ryan's natural butchered lips..whoops...lets try this again. ahmm.. I mean, just look at his wife...Nights of Columbus he's got everything going for him..Fellas, did you see her eyes? Wowzers....

But seriously guys, it seems as though guys around here nowadays are gettin on the "duechey" side..I mean c'monnnnn... okay, by all means, I'm in no way, shape, or form perfect OR a sociologist/psychologist but theres a few findings I've began noticing. Flat bill hats: Okay, if you are a baseball player/fan and your team is in season, there is no reason not to wear your flat bill hat all season to support your team. I'll even say i support that. BUT...heres the catch. Wearing your orange oriole hat to match your tangerine orange Bapes = complete idiot. I mean if you walk into a room and your wearing a flat bill hat, and i spot you, your already at a deficit. You better start talking MLB quick to change my mind ha! I don't knock on flat bills for everybody. I myself have at least 5 fitted MLB flat bill hats but you wouldn't know it. And just a little insider; girls want to see hair fellas. Not your (heaven forbid) yankees cap 24/7...Another observation: White Oakleys. Where do i even begin on this one. T-pain w/ white glasses = easy to make fun of. You w/ his glasses = easier to make fun of! Not that theres anything wrong with Oakley glasses. I mean, they ARE great glasses. (I prefer cheap original glasses myself. 1: because i tend to break/lose all my glasses.2: because i don't need glasses that cover half my face. It's not like I'm riding a 4-wheeler to work.) Its just pretty consistent that i'll see some dude thats obviously not cool sporting a pair of white gas-cans on his face as he tries to hide behind them. Don't believe me? Just facebook stalk some duechebag guys and more than likely you'll find a pic of him and his glasses..check out this link and read the msg underneath it...I REST MY CASE..

As requested, I suppose I'll give you my point of view on love and relationships. Wow, where to begin? I believe that deep down, everybody wants to love, and in return, feel loved. It's human nature is it not? Love. A four letter word doesn't really express all the content it contains. Love: the antagonizer of pain, jealousy, hope, faith, forgiveness, acceptance, sacrifice, grace, self-awareness. I could go on for days... I know alot of you hear the word "love" and you've already place somebody in your brain. Whether your with that person or not, don't fret. Life goes on. Easier said than done right? Take it from somebody who's been there. Yeah..even ME. For all those weary hearts out there, don't let somebody else control your emotions. I believe the emotions you feel are the perspective you have on your world. Not everyone feels the same about a certain situation or event, because they don't have the same perspective as someone else. As the old saying goes, "walk a mile in someone else's shoes". Many of people I know have been going through rough times. Its evident. Just look at about every 1/4 of the facebook status' and you can see somebody's lost or confused. My heart goes out to them, or you, if you feel that way. I've been "that guy" that can't find anything right, can't concentrate, doesn't care, doesn't eat, wakes up in a cold sweat. But from what I've discovered, life simply continues on. Whether you decide to join or not is up to you. I believe that true love doesn't fade, you just learn to look past it. And that'll only happen with time my friends. When you have a bad breakup, learn from past mistakes. If you don't feel you made any, maybe you didn't. Sadly, some people in relationships get bored with the other and somebody has to suffer. But honestly, the best advice I can give is while your single, find yourself. Think you know yourself? Sit down and start writing and see what comes out. It might amaze you. It did me. You can't ever love someone else if your not completely confident and knowing in who you are. And that'll only happen when your alone. I discovered things/life lessons that only come through pain. And if your religious, as i would hope most of you are, realize that though it may seem as though your in the drivers seat, your not :). sorry to be the one to break it to you but, theres already a plan ahead of you that you cannot see. Maybe God hasn't brought you the right person yet, maybe he only brought you the right "lesson to be learned". Once you realize that God has you on a "plan" you'll begin to feel the stress rise off of you. When I feel overwhelmed by school, I remind myself, "God won't let me fail because I'm doing his work through my hands". You all have a purpose. Whether you've found it or not, it's there. And I wouldn't worry about trying to "make things happen". I've realized the best things in life, simply fall in your lap. Opportunities, relationships, people you meet, lessons learned, ALL will come when your not looking for them, so don't :) Make things simple. A lot of people notice I don't seemed stressed; EVER. Well frankly, I am. All the time. But I take every day, day by day, to the next one. And when your dealing with heartache, thats what you have to do. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, take a shot of whiskey and cut your loses. As I wrap up todays post, I'd challenge you to find a quote that moves you and post it somewhere where you can see it. I'll leave you with one of my favorites..Cheers.

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”

Buying Guy's Gift's = Simple

Hey Guys! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I know I did. It’s hard to have fun in a place like this but lord knows, I do my best.  I had a few, and I had a few too many :) but that’s nothing new! So by request I was asked my view on women vs men. Wow. Thank you for being so specific and not vague at all….I think I’m going to pull a William Faulkner and just see what happens…okay..

Lets see….since it’s the holiday season, lets talk about gift giving. Ahhh yes. It’s the reason for the season is it not? Women say guys are hard to buy for. Bullshit. Guys are very easy to buy for, women just always find a way to screw it up. Its very simple, y’all just over think things; make them complicated…Whats new? Ladies when your looking for your man/brother/uncle a gift this holiday season, buy him something he can use. Like a pack of rubbers for instance …KIDDING..but really……Get them something they can show off to there buddies. Like a pistol ..yeah. With something badass on it that they’ll never use. Example: a laser. What guy doesn’t want a pistol w/ a f*cking laser on it! Okay I really don’t want a pistol so im not asking for one but say I open up my present and theres a pistol with a laser on it, I now love weapons of mass destruction. It’s in a man’s DNA!!! One year I got two scarfs….ahmmmm…you read it right; scarf’s. Which is pleural meaning I was pissed; twice. You know how hard it is to fake a smile with two scarf’s in your hands?! How do I put this. It’s like smiling while getting kicked in the sack. It’s like smiling while you’re getting a Brazilian wax to your downstairs. These are the situations when you say to yourself “I should cheat”…no no, I don’t ever agree with cheaters and their ways, just saying, I wouldn’t blame the fella if he broke some off. Especially if he was wearing the scarfs at the time, that would be grand…I digress….

But seriously ladies there are some things that a man wants that he never knew he even wanted. For instance a corn-cob pipe..a bathroom reader full of useless facts (us guys always want to know things that will never come in handy)….razors…led zeppelin IV cd….a bodybuilder picture with our head cropped on it…plastic cups for spitunes (snuff dip cups if you are unfamiliar with the lingo)….Texas ranger tickets…a playboy magazine (hustler if y’all are really close)…a good sleeping bag…white Oakley sunglasses (if he’s a douche…which I will comment on white sunglasses in future posts so be ready)…if he does ecstasy on the weekends, get him a catholic rosary…cause that seems to be the trend..if hes a smoker, get a nicotine patch package and hide  cigarettes in it…he will be so excited and know your heart is in the right place..i know by buddy Kurt Horton would…SEE ladies, guys are very simple to buy for…don’t ask his mom because chances are, shes got two scarfs packaged up under the tree right now!!!

Until next time friends….A Cunningham

Check this sh*t out!!!

Just thought I would share this with everybody...Not too much I really CAN say about this besides WOW...Idk who 903 495 8182 is but if you prank text me, you gotta know I'll put that shit on the internet...so apparently if your looking for a good time, just text them!!! This is what i talked about in my previous post...gotta flip the script on 'em!!!! until next time, hope everyone has a great Friday night!!!

Just another Thursday

Friends, romans, countryman lend me your...mom?..wait thats not right..ears? yea ears! anyway so another day at PJC...another day of torcher..another day of acting awake in class while i sleep with my head in my hands. Ive perfected it to an art i think. Except eventually my hands will go numb or one teach always spots me. One totally called me out today. Too bad i woke up and answered the question..

  • Teacher says
"why do you change i.v. tubing every 24hrs? Lets pick on Austin since hes paying attention."

  • With my head still looking down, eyes closed i mumble out
"cause crap will grow in it"

  • Teacher says

"Correct"

Ahhhhh....burns doesn't it..Nothing better than stickin' it to the man. Just when they try and put you down, you gotta flip the script on em.. ANYWAY...so I discovered the new Black Eyed Peas CD today. Anyone else heard it? Way more techno than previous albums but none the less still "jammable".BTW if you have trouble finding music heres some suggestions:

Pretty awesome site honestly. You can type in any musical artist (almost) and get a listing of songs and albums. You can access their music w/o copyright infringement. Pretty sweet huh? And you don't even have to download software and bogg your computer down. You don't download the music necessary, you just listen to it. (9/10) site in my opinion.

Okay, Vuze is a bit different. It's a bit like Limewire but instead of downloading individual songs (and the occasional virus that kills your laptop indefinitely) you're able to download whole albums @ once. Pretty sweet IMO but i wouldn't recommend illegal downloading to anyone ;)BUT in the case of you maybe being a rebel and doing it anyway, I would recommend putting them on an exterior hard-drive so as to not bogg your system down.
Another band that just released another album thats pretty good is Alterbridge. Anyone ever heard of Creed? Well it's the band Creed w/ a different singer. They're pretty awesome in my opinion. Check em out here

Let me know what you think!! until next time..

Sink or Swim

Life's just a river of tears. You do everything you can do to keep yourself dry and outta the trenches but that's not always possible. All you want is the sun on your face and the mist on your neck. It seems as though when you haven't a worry is when you slip and fall overboard. It's easy to give up and drown; let your ship leave you sailin'. Or you may tread on someone else. Sure, why not? But not me, oh no. When i look up, i see no buzzards. I've learned to swim.

Dont tread on me
